Leadership

Clean Energy Design has been a leader in renewable energy for over ten years. Parallel to our designing and installing the highest quality systems we participate in policy discussions at the local and state levels. This effort supports the reduction of barriers to the implementation of renewable energy technologies. We continue to travel up to Beacon Hill to support the new net metering legislation, along with continuing to work with our local towns to develop appropriate zoning bylaws for wind installations. At the local level we orient town officials and regional decision makers to the robustness and reliability of renewable energy technologies.

Partnership

Part of our mission at Clean Energy Design is to work closely with local and regional organizations who share our vision for a clean energy future. We partner with organizations such as the Cape Cod Community College, and local technical high schools, and members of the Cape and Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative including Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, to support educational outreach and workforce development. Clean Energy Design founder, Tom Wineman, is a founding member of both the Cape and Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative, and Clean Power Now, while also sitting on the Cape Cod Million Solar Roofs Board. We participated in early renewable energy curriculum development with Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School.
